How to export a PST file from Microsoft Outlook
Use the accordion below to select your version of Microsoft Outlook
NB: Before you begin please clear your Junk Mail and Deleted Items to avoid unnecessary bloat
- Select File from Top Navigation tabs
- Select Options > Advanced
- Navigate to the Export section and select Export
- Select “Export to a file” and then select Next
- Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and then select Next
- Select the account that you want to export (this should be the top level item; this enables exporting all mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes, if applicable, for that account). Ensure “Include subfolders” is ticked and select Next
- Select Browse and select where you want to save the Outlook Data File (.pst). Enter a file name and select OK to continue
- Select Finish
- Select the File menu > Import and Export
- Select “Export to a file” and then select Next
- Select Personal Folders File (.pst) and then select Next
- Select the account that you want to export (this should be the top level item; this enables exporting all mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes, if applicable, for that account). Ensure “Include subfolders” is ticked and select Next
- Select Browse and select where you want to save the Personal Folders File (.pst). Enter a file name and select OK to continue
- Select Finish
NB: If you have multiple accounts, repeat steps for each account, saving each .pst file as a different name
