Mobile workforce
- You meet a friend in a café when an important customer calls your office phone. You can receive the call on your laptop or your cellphone. There is no cost incurred to forward phone calls over and above the fixed costs of running your VoIP system.
- You are at an Airport waiting to board your flight when a customer calls your landline. VoIP gives you the choice of either receiving the call on your cellphone or laptop. Once again, no extra cost is incurred for this service and the customer is made aware that you are readily accessible.
Cost savings—multiple offices
- You have offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, and each month their combined toll bills are significant. As the majority of the calls are important to you, it’s hard to find ways to reduce cost without compromising effectiveness.
- You switch to a VoIP solution, and all calls are carried across your company internet connection, rather than over standard phone lines. Consequently, phone calls between offices are free.
- Your monthly phone bill falls dramatically.
Cost savings—international calls
- You import goods from many offshore suppliers, so your international phone bill is astronomical.
- You switch to a VoIP solution, and all international calls are carried across the internet. Calls are now as low as 5 cents a minute—even to countries as distant as the US (see the table below) and even calls to mobile numbers are affordable.
- Your monthly phone bill falls dramatically.
- Locations at 5 Cents per Minute (National Rated Calls)
- New Zealand, Austrlia, Austria, Belgim, Brunei, Chile, China, China Mobile, Costa Rica Mobile, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Germany Mobile, Greece, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Mobile, Hungry, Iceland, Ireland, Israle, Japan, Korea (Sth), Lictenstein Mobile, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mariana Island, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Singapore, Sinapore Mobile, San Marino Mobile, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA, Virgin Islands
You have customers nationwide
- Many businesses use 0800 numbers to provide free phone access for their customers however this is a very expensive option for your company. With VoIP, you can take either your existing 0800 number or create a new one at the same costing of a normal VoIP call (4 cents per minute nationally). No diversion or any other fees that are normally attracted by a 0800 number because it connects directly to your VoIP server. In most cases this would reduce the cost of your 0800 service by around 70%!
- If you move offices, whether across town or to another city, your number, (or numbers), do not have to change. Your phone number, like your email address, is a virtual number. Rather than connecting to a physical location, as with standard phone technology, it now connects to a ‘location’ in cyberspace, leaving you free to move wherever you want.
Your company is growing
- The typical cost of adding, moving or changing a normal phone line is about $100 paid to your telco (Telecom or Telstar). The typical cost for adding a VoIP line is virtually zero. All you have to do is move your IP phone (or traditional phone with a VoIP adapter) to a different broadband network jack and plug it in.
- You receive and place orders/instructions many times a day, often while on the move. With a traditional phone system, landline or mobile, you generally have no record of a call once it’s over. With VoIP, you do. So when you need to check what you agreed to do during a call, or what a customer asked you to supply, or any other matter of fact, you can simply play the call back as many times as you want.
